ARY | Khuda Na Kare

For a daughter her father has always been her super hero – she sees the world through his eyes and it’s his immense confidence on her that she crosses odd obstacles of life with ease. The affectionate father-daughter bond has been shown in thousands of movies and dramas but the charm of this beautiful tale will never come to an end.
ARY Digital’s new drama ‘Khuda Na Kare’ is about a single father Zaheer Ahmed (Salman Shahid) and his darling daughters Aabi (Myra Sajid) and Abrish(Sonia Hussain). Written by Samina Nadeem this play is a joint production of Fahad Mustafa and Ali Kazmi whereas Badar Mehmood has directed it.

After watching promos I was expecting it to be a tale of rebellious daughter who will stand against her father’s decision to marry a man of his choice – it may be possible that the story will flow in that direction later on but the mood writer has set in the very first episode is high on emotions.
In the first few scenes I was impressed more with the writer than performers as she introduces the three main characters of the play very innovatively – girls are shown watering the plants in the garden and when father walks in they start pulling him towards their favorite plants. Their choice of plants actually reflects their personality – Aabi like non-flowering plants which shows that her life is devoid of any excitement and thrill whereas Abrish is lively and vibrant and her collection includes flowers in beautiful hues.
Zaheer sb’s best friend Hashmi Uncle (Tunio Salahuddin) often makes entry in the drama and gives precious advice on the matter of concern to his friend.
Up till this point it appears to be a happy family without any worries and stress. So what’s the twist in the story?
Well, the younger daughter loves her university fellow, Farhad (Junaid Khan) and the rest of the family is totally unaware of it. Once she goes out with him and doesn’t come home on time – the anxiety and worriedness reflecting from Zaheer’s gestures is something which could melt away any daughters’ heart. When Aabrish reaches home Zaheer sb said, “Tum se baat nahin ho rahe thi tu mujhe lag raha tha kay jaise ka mai mar gaya hon. Khatam hogaya hon.” His touching dialogues have power to make my eyes wet with tears.
We all have father like Zaheer sb but living as an independent girls we never give ear to their words especially when they ask us to come home early and don’t trust strangers. Being elder in experience and age they are making an effort to aware and prepare us before the storm knock at our doors and ruin everything.
The drama take a turn when Zaheer sb friend from abroad come and send proposal for Aabrish(as Aabi was already engaged to someone else). Initially, the father is a bit reluctant in accepting it but with Hashmi’s advice he gives his approval to it. The drama ends when he tells Aabi about it and the colour of her face pale down.
I agree that Khuda Na Kare’ story is not unusual but the way it is projecting on-screen has given it an edge. All the artists have done pretty decent jobs in essaying their characters – we have seen Hussain playing a similar kind of role in ‘Shikwa’ but here too she is impressive as a middle class young girl. Myra Sajid has a fresh appearance on the screen and from none of his performance it appears that she is relatively new in the filed – in fact she looks quite comfortable in her role. Shahid is as usual brilliant and Khan doesn’t much air time in this episode so I really can’t comment about him right now.
For me the high point of the play is its beautifully sung OST Dil Dharkane Ka Sabab Yaad aya – beautifully sung and right placed in between the scenes going perfectly well with the story.

Kabhi Kabhi Last Episode

Finally, the serial has come to an end! *phew* The serial was being dragged unnecessarily and when it reached it’s final destination most of the viewers including me were bored. The serial could have easily ended five episodes ago but nope they had to drag it. The fact that Ishal was an irresponsible and reckless mother was established long back. The fact that cracks had appeared in Ishal and Sunny’s marriage and they were never in love with each other was also established long back but despite that we were tortured.

The last episode neither disappointed me nor made me happy. I have always loved Ishal and Araiz as a couple and wanted them to reconcile and I am glad they did. I am also glad that she made peace with her estranged father and former mother-in-law. The writer touched upon a very sensitive issue of depression that lead to suicidal tendencies. It could have been handled in a more mature manner to spread a positive message across but that did not happen.
I lost all respect for Sunny the day he married Ishal and showed his true colours. He pushed her into this mess when he could not win her heart or rather make her love him. And wow, Sunny miyaan was influenced by the domestic help, seriously iski aqal godo (knees) mein hi thi! I did feel sorry Ishal as a mother, she could have become a better mother had she not let Sunny influence her and spent more time with her. But poor girl had her own reasons, she rather felt obligated towards Sunny for marrying her and accepting her son as his own.
Mehwish Hayat and Ahsan Khan have been great as Ishal and Araiz, they also make a lovely on-screen couple. Javed Sheikh, Bushra Ansari, Aly Khan, Nausheen Shah, etc. provided great support. Some of the scenes and dialogues were amazing too. The biggest letdown has been the script, the serial started off so well. Like I had said in my earlier review, the leap was not required, Araiz and Ishal could have reconciled without that too but let it be. I dunno if it should be called a blooper or not but Ahsan Khan kept switching between long hair and short hair look after he returns from Dubai which bothered me in the last few episodes.
And that’s it from me folks, do let me know what you thought about the last episode.

I have absolutely no idea as to why the serial’s being dragged? I had high hopes and expectations from Samira Fazal but the last 2-3 episodes have been very disappointing.  I mean by now Ishal and Araiz should have sorted their differences and reconciled for their son’s sake. On the other hand, Sunny’s asli roop has been more of a rude shock, yes I knew he was possessive about Ishal and he always had feelings for her. Now that he is married to her he mustn’t be so insecure but having said that we all know where the insecurity has come from.

Coming back to the episode, I am glad Araiz realised his folly and is doing everything possible to be back with Ishal. I understand Ishal’s position and dilemma as well, Araiz didn’t think twice before signing the divorce papers and now when she is married to Sunny, he wants her back in his life. Sunny has been ill-treating as well yet she wants to stay with him for the sake of her son because it is difficult for her to trust Araiz again and also his nosy family…. who never cared for her. I am appalled that Soni STILL wants to marry Sunny, he never showed interest in her, yet she hasn’t understood this. Does she think she will live happily with him even if he divorces Ishal and marries her? Not only that…she is also creating problems for her own brother! Damn this woman, on one hand I think she completely deserves a partner like Sunny!
Mehwish Hayat, Ahsan Khan and the guy playing Sunny were good in the episodes, as always the dialogues were pretty good and I hope the serial winds up in next two episodes because I as a viewer and I am sure many other viewers too are slowly losing interest in the serial as they have been dragging things from so long!

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 16,17&18

kabhi

First of all, apologies for not reviewing the last two episodes, I just needed a break and was eagerly awaiting for a twist but alas till now it feels last three episodes have been more of fillers and things have been rushed, I mean in the three episodes Araiz and Ishal got divorced, Ishal completed seven months of her pregnancy and ended up having a premature delivery. Anyhow, it seems Ishal has finally learnt about her father’s sacchayi and real motives.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 16,17&18 Online at Bathak.com

I had been wondering as to Ishal cannot see her father’s true intentions when everything was in front of her. He has never been her well-wisher yet she blindly trusted him, maybe because he was her father. Thankfully, Sunny didn’t play with her feelings for too long and spilled the beans slowly, I liked how he did that, didn’t give her all the jhatke at once. Coming back to her divorce with Araiz, I had never wanted that to happen but the couple turned out to be unbelievably demented and immature and ended up signing the papers.
All this while, I had been giving benefit of the doubt to Rehbar but alas his startling revelation that he had used Ishal to settle scores with his father-in-law but despite that I am kind of glad that he never wished bad upon her, he may have had different motives but those never caused harm to Ishal so all is well. Somewhere I had also wanted to him teach Ehsan (sorry for calling him Irfan in previous reviews) a lesson who left no stone unturned in making things tough for both his son-in-laws’. About time Ishal accepts the truth fully and reconciles with Araiz because they both are incomplete without each other. In turn Araiz’s family needs to treat her like a human being, give her the respect she deserves.
Next week’s preview suggests that Soni might send her rishta to Sunny’s which I feel may turn out to be interesting, she is hellbent on marrying him so yeah, let’s see if they get married at all (it’ll be such a interesting jodi no? Lol). Also there were two bloopers in the last episode, (I am not entirely sure if they were bloopers or were genuine) according to Soni Times Square is in Europe and apparently Soni is five years older than Ishal, how old are both of them then? This mystery shall never be answered!
The episode had some really great dialogues and some of the scenes were good too! I loved Mehwish Hayat’s expressions in the scene where Aly Khan tells her that he had used her to settle scores with his father-in-law. I cannot wait for the next episode and I hope we’ll see Araiz and Ishal reconciling

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 14 & 15

kabhi

Ishal has left Araiz’s house and now both are at loggerheads. No one wants to take stock of the situation and talk it out. And then you have people like Irfan (Ishal’s father), Soni who will further worsen the situation. I understand both are hurt and cannot see the truth or at least Araiz can but he is not able to make Ishal understand which is frustrating him plus being jobless adds to his woes. On the other hand, Ishal’s father is trying his best to turn his daughter against her husband and in-laws for obvious reasons. How low can someone stoop I wonder? He humiliates his daughter’s in-laws and lies about it to his daughter when she asks him, I thought he would accept and instead tell that they deserved this kind of treatment and blah blah.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 14 & 15 Online at Bathak.com

It’s interesting to see Rehbar trying to knock sense into Araiz’s head who is adamant on not reconciling with his wife and letting his father-in-law take advantage of the situation. Please my dear Araiz use your brains!! Stop doubting your wife, you know she’s always been loyal towards you, it’s just her evil father who is influencing her. About time Araiz needs to take a deep breath, sit alone and mull over the situation and take the right steps. The first right step would be talking it out with Ishal and bringing her back to his house. Better late than never I liked how Araiz FINALLY realised that how useless and selfish his siblings are. Loved how he finally spoke up against Soni’s immature behaviour. Ishal on the other hand ALSO needs to use her brains and find out the truth because she is aware of the fact that her father has never approved of Araiz as her husband and if Araiz is accusing his father-in-law of something then there must be some truth to it. Agreed his way was not correct but she really needs to stop being so influenced by her father and also heed to Rehbar’s advice. I particularly did not like how the news of her pregnancy was broken and also in episode 14 Araiz declared very confidently to his mother that Ishal’s expecting whereas in episode 15 she was seen ringing the hospital to confirm the pregnancy where she was being treated for burns, I am wondering if it’s a blooper or some scene was edited out? Poor editing nonetheless!
Episode 15 also saw the re-entry of Shahbir which will bring an exciting twist in the story, though I have a feeling he may play an important role in reuniting Araiz and Ishal. The parallel track going on between Sunny and Soni is getting boring, except the part where we see Soni uttering filmy dialogues in a bid to confess her liking for Sunny in a not to subtle manner. I hope things get spiced up between the two hehe. ;-)
Overall both the episodes were good but the story needs to pick up pace and not be dragged like it’s kind of being right now. The only complaint that I have is the unintentional pregnancy blooper. The acting was good but I must say Aly Khan has very impressive so far.  I liked the scene where Ishal and Araiz meet in a park and the conversation ends in an argument and both visibly regretting later after saying hurtful things to each other yet not accepting it fully. The dialogues were good but the direction could have been tad bit better.

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 13

kabhi

This was indeed quite an interesting episode, the writer didn’t drag the whole how-will-Araiz-find-out-who-was-behind-the-conspiracy-of-him-loosing-the-job.  Araiz finds out the truth in rather an interesting way, little did he know his ride to Ishal’s house to give her phone would prove to be so useful. I absolutely loved the scene where he confronts his ex-colleague and so called backstabber friend Shoaib, thankfully he didn’t stay mum and let go of the situation which he usually does.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 13 Online at Bathak.com

Araiz’s unemployment has created a lot of tension in his house, his immature and selfish siblings are not ready to understand the situation and despite being capable of financially helping their brother by working, they would rather spend their brother’s hard earned money and loiter about. Amidst the situation the bigger role will be played by their mother in making them understand the seriousness of the situation. As expected Ishal and Araiz is going to suffer a lot and it has started suffering but Ishal has been very mature about the situation except in a moment or two when it is understood how challenging her life has been made by the in-laws. The credit also goes to Rehbar for knocking sense in her and giving her the right advice. But the precap suggests that frustrated Araiz would spill the beans which wouldn’t go down well with Ishal because obviously it will be difficult for her to believe that her own father would do harm to her husband. I must applaud for taking so much bullshit from her in-laws and her father for her love and faith in Araiz, despite coming from a rich family she has no airs about it whereas a girl from a middle class family wouldn’t have tolerated so much bullshit from their in-laws, hope she stays sane and always stands by her husband Araiz.
Despite so much tension the viewers weren’t deprived of a cute moment in the serial when Ishal forgets her phone in the house and Araiz rides to her home just to return her phone, honestly I could not stop myself from awww-ing. It’s good that after screaming at his wife he actually makes up for it instead of letting go and considering it his birthright as a desi man to scream at his wife and not regret it later.
As always some of the dialogues were really good and every actor played their part really well. The script is indeed the real winner of the serial. The precap for next episode suggests more drama to unfold since Araiz in all likelihood won’t find another good job and may have to settle for a mediocre job to feed the mouths in the family, I also hope Ishal takes a step forward and decides to financially help her husband by taking up a job

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 12

kabhi

I have to give it to Samira Fazal for writing such a good script. I enjoyed this particular episode the most because there was a twist in the story which I had been awaiting, the episode was fast paced which was the plus point. Ishal’s father has successfully snatched Araiz’s job, he plants Araiz’s colleague to do the needful. Poor Araiz is jobless now.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 12  Online at Bathak.com

The episode starts with Ishal at the hospital since she suffers second degree burns after accidentally dropping freshly fried pakore (I think?) on her wrist while arguing with her husband. As always Ishal’s father overreacted and started blaming Araiz for Ishal’s burns because according to him, Araiz and his family have deliberately hurt his daughter. All this while, Ishal has behaved very maturely, after her father’s order for her to not go back to her sasural, she didn’t budge and still went ahead. Thankfully, Araiz didn’t budge either when he was stopped by the security guard from entering the house.  Iva’s intellectual level may be quite low but she did the right thing by allowing Araiz inside the house. Rehbar seems to be killing two birds with one stone. He has to settle scores with his father-in-law so in some way or the other he IS using Ishal, having said that I am agreeing to the fact that he understands Ishal’s position, that how wrong her father has been with her and her husband.
The best scene from the entire episode has to be the one where Ishal is in a conversation with Sunny, who was sent with fruits, medicines etc by Ishal’s father for Ishal and she tells him that her in-laws are taking very good care of her whereas the sadness in her eyes was evident. I liked it when Amma understood her responsibility and knew she had to take care of Ishal but alas!  Her useless daughter Soni had to interrupt and mess up things but I still hope Amma takes care of Ishal.
Coming back to Araiz losing his job, Ishal’s father is doing exactly the same thing he did with Rehbar. The reason for Araiz’s termination would most likely not get him another job and he would have no other option but to join Ishal’s father’s business and become his puppet like he did with Rehbar who is now adamant on teaching him a lesson. I do think Ishal and Araiz’s marriage is going suffer badly because of all this, since Araiz has always been a khuddar guy and it will be VERY VERY difficult for him to leave his family and move in to his sasural with Ishal. Honestly, I did not think Ishal’s father would go to this extent so soon, but then I shouldn’t have forgotten what he did with Rehbar. He doesn’t realise that Rehbar and Araiz are two completely different individuals with different personalities. I am awaiting more plot twists hence cannot wait for the next episode.
Ahsan Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Aly Khan, Javed Sheikh were good in the episode, Sana Askari really needs to step up her game, she usually has the same expressions on her face, I understand she doesn’t have much to do except bhadakao-ing her mother against her bhabhi and roaming around the house with food in her hand lol.

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 11

kabhi

Soni! Soni! Soni! I wish I could jump inside the screen and smack her, this idiot woman annoys the hell out of me,  just when I think Amma is warming up to Ishal, she has to poke her nose in between when we thinks things are improving.  I was at loss of words regarding her approach toward the sweet, romantic moment between her brother and sister-in-law. She wants to get married but who would jhelo her haha! And oh Sunny se shaadi karne ka sapna toh usse chor hi dena chahiye… and why would you bitch about your own brothers to a stranger? Okay Sunny may not exactly be a stranger but then he is not a close friend or anything either.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 11  Online at Bathak.com

The episode was quite good, Ishal’s father has planted her cousin Sunny to create problems in her married life and things are seem to be going according to the way her father wants. I am not able to understand as to what is going through Sunny’s mind, on one hand he finds Ishal’s in-laws crazy which they undoubtedly are yet he does everything his Uncle Irfan says. The idea of giving Soni a job in his office is hilarious, I doubt if that useless girl would do anything at all except carrying a bowl of food around and munching away but then we all know she won’t be given any serious responsibility, she will just be used to create further problems in Ishal’s married life.
Honestly, I found Ishal’s behaviour when Sunny had sensed that him sitting in her bedroom had made her in-laws upset and he needs to leave, she should have but other than that she was bang on! Firstly Amma needs to STOP following her stupid daughter’s ill advice and start using her brains and make peace with her daughter-in-law, Ishal. Instead of ringing Araiz, she could have politely told her bahu make her cousin sit in the sitting room but chugalkhor aunty (aka Soni) ne toh aag lagaani hi thi kyunki unhe toh mauka chahiye Ishal ko neecha dikhaane ka. Araiz’s behaviour and approach towards the situation marks the beginning of the trouble in Araiz and Ishal’s paradise in my opinion. Ishal’s choice of words whilst speaking with Rehbar over the phone for her in-laws may have not been correct but Araiz needs to understand how crazy his family is and the treatment meted out to her is just not right, like I have said in my previous reviews too, she deserves a certain amount of respect and love too.
Mehwish Hayat was good in the episode and I liked some of the dialogues. Other actors are doing a decent job too, esp. Aly Khan, I really like him as Rehbar. The real winner of the serial is Samira Fazal’s script. Cannot wait to see how things transpire from here…

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 10

kabhi

This episode was rather interesting, thankfully Ishal is finally speaking up and playing the game as it is supposed to be played, I mean instead of being apologetic before her mother-in-law and sister-in-law she is dealing with them smartly, just the way I had wanted her,  the scene where her mother-in-law and Soni wrongly blame her of accusing Soni of stealing Ishal’s clothes was the best scene of the entire episode whereas on the other hand I am so disappointed in Araiz, he needs to tell his mother and sister off. How can he tolerate his mother and sister being SO rude with his wife? She also deserves some amount of respect and love.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 10  Online at Bathak.com

The gradual positive change that I am seeing in Ishal’s character has been very good, she told her father off when he mistreated her husband, she may have been very rude but her father’s behaviour was wrong too and it will foolish of us to expect him to now stop trying to brainwash her and creating problems in her marriage. His idea of making her cousin Sunny visit her house (which I think will happen frequently) didn’t go down too well with Ishal’s in-laws. Does he realise this move of him will particularly effect his daughter? She is the one who will be labelled as a loose character by her evil mother-in-law and sister-in-law.  One thing that did impress me was the way Araiz handled the situation at the dinner table when Soni and his mother were kind of doing Ishal’s chugli.
I am SO glad that Ishal expressed her displeasure without hesitating in front of Araiz, he needs to step up his game, yes. This is what disappoints me the most about him, kya but (statue) ban jaata hai apni maa aur behen ke saamne? Bada beta hai ghar aur sahi aur galat ka farq nahi samajhta?
Overall, the episode was engaging and interesting as I have already said above, I am warming up to Rehbar’s character as he might turn out to be Ishal’s saviour or is turning out to be her saviour. Mehwish Hayat and Ahsan Khan were good in the episode but they need to do more, I mean they usually have the same expressions on their face which tends to get boring. Direction was good and kudos to the Sameera Fazal for keeping the focus on the trials and tribulations that Ishal’s facing after her marriage

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 8

kabhi

This was quite a boring episode except for the part that Ishal finally talked it out with Araiz or rather tried to about his mother and sister’s behaviour towards her and also how she deserves to be treated properly and deserves some respect. I am glad she did because this was very much needed. I am also glad that Araiz finally kind of scolded his sister for being rude with her sister-in-law but ugh he is still not ready to understand that his sister really really needs to watch her words. She is not a bachchi anymore.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 8 Online at Bathak.com

Araiz’s mother’s behaviour is SO unpredictable, I mean one moment she pampers her new daughter-in-law but the other moment she ridicules her and talks rudely to her. But overall, I found her character pretty interesting, yes she isn’t THAT bad but sadly she gets easily influenced by her stupid and useless daughter though at times she scolds her too and realises that she is badtameez and talks rubbish who needs to mend her ways. Wish they hadn’t made a big deal out of the dowry thing, when Ishal was ready to move the electronic items out of her room they could have ended the issue there but nope there had to be some drama. Soni annoys the heck out of me, seriously woman, you need to mend your ways and stop making a mountain out of a molehill and start behaving her age.
My opinion regarding Rehbar has changed yet again this week, I did find his intention genuine towards Ishal, I loved the advice he gave her when he visited her place. I wasn’t expecting such a thing from him (I loved his dialogues btw). He may hold grudges against his father-in-law but he will not settle scores with him at Ishal’s cost (at least for now). Throughout the episode I found Ishal’s behaviour quite matured and sensible but towards the end she proved she is quite gullible, wish she hadn’t paid heed to Shahraiz’s bad advice, he is such a janaana (it’s a Punjabi word for woman), aag lagaana aur ghar mein ladaiyaan lagvana. Next week’s episode preview is the proof of it.
I have a piece of advice for some people in the serial firstly, I think Araiz really needs to understand the situation. He needs to accept that his mother and sister don’t like his wife and their behaviour towards her is really hurtful. If he doesn’t understand this I think their marriage is not going to last long or they will have to move out. Shahraiz and Soni really need to grow up and start behaving their age, they think they are matured but they are not, their mother and elder brother need to guide them and bring them to the right path. Ishal’s father needs to stop sending things to her sasural because this is ruining her relationship with her husband and the in-laws because of the class difference, his daughter has chosen this kind of life for herself so let her live it. Lastly, Araiz’s mother needs to realise that her bahu is a sweet girl and she deserves respect too. She may not be your daughter but you should treat her like one.

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 7

kabhi

Poor Ishal! She has to go through so much but since she’s naive she always sees the best in the other person, sometimes I wish she was as clever as her sister-in-law, at least life would have been easier for her in sasural. She buys gifts for her in-laws but since her sister-in-law likes finding faults in everything she does, she pretends to not like the gifts and she has bought cheap stuff to put them down just because their financial status is not the same as her father’s and she should have bought even more expensive and branded gifts which was appalling.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 7 Online at Bathak.com

I don’t know why Araiz cannot see the mutual dislike his mother and daughter share for his wife? Fine they’re your mother and sister but you are smart enough to sense their intentions especially Soni when she was humiliating Ishal regarding the gifts, he could have at least told her off as an elder brother (which man can accept his younger sister talking so rudely with his wife?). And omg Shahraiz is such a kameena, he sells the gifts to his friend when Araiz is about to pack stuff and distribute it among poor people. I am assuming Shahraiz has kept his gift and sold the rest of them, how smart! In the beginning I used to think he was a bit sensible and matured out of the three but nope he is proving to be even more disgusting. What also disappointed me was Araiz putting his shirt inside the shopping bag, I mean stop being your mother’s pet yaar, think about your wife, she has bought gifts with so much love for you and just because your mother did not like the shirt you are ready to give it away. Sure, you might have a different opinion regarding the theory that “gifts dene se pyaar badhta hai” but you claim to love your wife with all your heart and you cannot keep her gift? You don’t have to use it but at least keep it with you for Ishal’s happiness.
Since we were speaking about Araiz’s younger brother Shahraiz, his derogatory remarks were pretty shocking for Iva, I mean I was not expecting him to be like this, but yes abhi toh shuruaat huyi hai, aagey aagey dekhte hain ki yeh kya gul khilaate hain! (Can’t this also amount to borderline sexual assault?). It seems the entire family is very chaalak maybe except for Araiz, the trio is very evil. Iva is another nutcase, she didn’t realise his remarks were derogatory until her husband told her. And things are only going to get worse because now her father has learnt about the treatment meted out by Ishal’s in-laws upon their maiden visit to her sasural to Iva and Rehbar. Also, Rehbar, it seems is supporting Ishal to settle scores with his father-in-law, until the last episode I kept giving him benefit of the doubt but not anymore.
The most funniest thing about the entire episode has to be Soni going up to her mother and expressing shock regarding her mother’s decision to have the gifts distributed among poor. It’s like pehle khudi aag lagao phir jab woh aag aapke paas pahunch jaye tab aap hairaan reh jao. I am waiting for her to get married and I hope she gets an eviler saas because she deserves it!
Ahsan Khan and Mehwish Hayat were pretty okay in the episode. Sana Askari and Bushra Ansari were good and their characters are supposed to make the viewers hate them and they are doing a good job of it but having said that their characters are very easy to play, I mean no offence to them but both of them already look quite *chaalak* and they don’t have much to do except for hatching evil conspiracies against poor Ishal who is so sweet to them. Aly Khan, Javed Sheikh and the actress who plays Iva were not bad either. The direction was good and I am glad they are keeping the focus on Ishal’s maika and sasural. The next episode seems interesting because as I wrote above things are going to get worse from here…

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 6

kabhi

This episode turned out to be straight from some typical Indian saas-bahu serial. Mother and daughter duo were busy plotting against their new bahu and bahu’s father is busy thinking of ways of getting his daughter divorced as she had committed a grave mistake by marrying someone from  middle class background.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 06 Online at Bathak.com

Episode 6 saw a lot of things happening, Soni and her mother are unhappy with their brother and son’s choice of girl respectively, even the younger brother starts behaving like a typical woman when he is with his mother and sister. Of course, Araiz’s mother allowed him to marry Ishal after giving in the immense pressure she faced from her youngest offspring thinking that a rich bahu = truckloads of dowry. I do agree the treatment meted out to Araiz and his family at the walima was very wrong but that doesn’t mean they will plot against Ishal and make her life hell. To add to her woes, an aunty from the neighbourhood comes over to put ghee in jalti hui aag. I seriously dislike such kind of aunties, have seen tons of them here in India too! Khud ke ghar mein khush nahi rehti hai aur dusron ke gharon mein aag bhadkaane aa jaati hain. Honestly, right from the beginning I have never understood Soni’s problem, I agree she is immature but come on abhi se itni chaalak hai, toh sasural mein pata nahi kya gul khilayegi? And the mother is actually SO stupid, instead of discouraging her behaviour she cannot help but give in to her unreasonable demands. Amidst all this, I was actually surprised to see Ishal being mature and not making the situation worse however it’s true that the mother-daughter duo has taken this personally but that’s a different thing for now. I thought Ishal would go crazy and complain to Araiz but nope she chose to remain silent and instead speak with her father and try to fix the problem.
I think it was a huge slap on Ishal’s arrogant father’s face when he assumes that Ishal has requested him to send a driver because she wants to leave Araiz but for something else, a tradition that wasn’t followed at all. What also brings me a sigh of relief is Rehbar invisible support for Ishal. He may have never been on very great terms with her but at least he is standing up for her against his father-in-law because he knows his father-in-law’s nature. And even his wife is pretty immature but yeah we saw a slightly different side to her when she defends her husband in front of her father so yes, their track is equally interesting.
I am glad to see Araiz not treating her wrong after what happened at the walima. And I am totally totally totally loving Ahsan Khan as Araiz also because he reminds me of a very close pal of mine. I loved the suhaagraat gift he made for Ishal, tbh, I did find her behaviour a little childish when Araiz tells her that he forgot her wedding night present maybe because I have never experienced such a thing in my life but then he gave her a very sweet present with something sweeter written inside  it so I guess all is well that ends well. I am so excited to see more of their romantic moments. :D
As I have mentioned before, I am FINALLY loving Ahsan Khan as Araiz, he fits the bill perfectly. Mehwish Khan needs to put in more effort but yeah she wasn’t that bad in the episode, direction was good too.

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 5

kabhi

This episode was rather fast paced and interesting. I didn’t think Ishal and Araiz would get married so soon. Anyhow, they are now married and poor Araiz’s family had to go through so much humiliation to make this union possible.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 05 Online at Bathak.com

Ishal’s cigar smoking father is a selfish, snobbish and conniving man. His reputation, his social status are the two only things that truly matter to him and it serves him right, he deserves a daughter like Ishal who stood up against him unlike Iva who is more or less his father’s puppet. Though I wish Ishal doesn’t give up easily because from now onward things are going to only get tougher for her. Her father is against her marriage with Araiz and her mother-in-law and sister-in-law are two cunning women with whom she has to deal now. She needs to pull up her socks and stop being so nice and naive.
The treatment that Ishal’s father gave to Araiz’s family at the daawat-e-walima should not have surprised me but it did. I mean I wasn’t expecting him to have his domestic helps welcome the baraat. The humiliation that they had to face when they bring the rishta to her house was very much expected. I appreciated the role that Rehbar played to make this union possible, he has always been against Araiz but he really isn’t that bad, of course he holds grudge against his father-in-law but I am glad he did not take his frustration out on his saali.
I have slowly started to appreciate Ahsan Khan’s acting in the serial, I liked how he as Araiz handled all the difficult situations that occurred before him maturely. My favourite scene has got to the one between him and Ishal during their suhaagraat. The dialogues were pretty good and I like how the story focuses on the two lead protagonists and the trials and tribulations they have to face in their lives and now they will be facing it together as a couple. I have a doubt that the mother-daughter duo are going to create problems between the couple as they aren’t happy about the way they were treated by Ishal’s father and also Soni thinks her of as a money extracting machine. So yes, let’s us see what the next episode has in store for

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 3 & 4

kabhi

Story is slowly yet steadily building up though it may not be something extraordinary but it isn’t bad either. Ishal and Araiz were gradually falling in love with each other without even realising and by the end of fourth episode they both confess their feelings to each other because it gets difficult to hold back.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 3 & 4  Online at Bathak.com

Ishal’s father is an interesting character played effortlessly by Javed Sheikh. He not only controls his two daughters’ but also his son-in-law Rehbar’s life. His ways of finding suitable son-in-laws for his daughters had me impressed in a creepy way, I mean I know what he is doing is absolutely not right but then he is so smart and conniving. And I finally learnt why Rehbar is so against the family, I felt sorry for him. Poor guy’s business collapsed which he later learns was his father-in-law’s chaal to make him depend on him and become his ghar jamai. I like how the casting director chose the actress who plays Iva because Rehbar and Iva are not supposed to have any chemistry and I don’t think they really love each other.
I always knew things were never going to be easy for Araiz and Ishal. Their family backgrounds are completely opposite of each other, their financial and social status are stark. But I am glad they realised their feelings for each other soon without dragging the story any further. Overall, I find Ishal’s character with no depth, there’s more that I expect from her character, the dialogues aren’t too good either… not only hers but everyone’s. Also, I understand the kind of background Araiz hails from but never understood why his sister and mother are so darn chaalaak? He is not a child and can take his own decisions, they must stop spying on him and nagging him for everything, don’t they realise he is the sole breadwinner of the family and if he will not be there who will feed these three mouths? Anyhow, now that Ishal has told her decision to her father who is hell-bent on marrying her to Shahbar, it will be interesting to see how he agrees to marry her to a man who is not of their social and financial status. And not to mention, I am totally expecting something more from the writer and director of the serial.

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 2

kabhi

The second episode didn’t have much to offer except that Araiz (sorry about calling him Ariz earlier) and Ishal are gradually developing feelings for each other, both have kind of become inseparable. On the other hand, Ishal’s father and brother-in-law Rehbar are hell-bent on ruining her life by their constant vigilance, interference and dominance.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 02  Online at Bathak.com

In the episode, we did learn more about the personalities of Araiz and Ishal’s family members. Like Araiz’s sister Soni receives Ishal’s phone call and she makes a big deal about her brother talking to a girl and his mother joins in and gives him an earful. Actually it mainly depends on the background they come from, it is evident that Araiz’s mother and sister are two chaalaak women, poor Araiz explaining it to them, that she is his boss’ friend but they wouldn’t listen to him. Whereas Ishal’s father’s sole reason for getting her married to Shahbir (sorry about calling him Shahbar/Shahraiz earlier, Idk what’s with such weird names!!) is because he is a rich guy who would fulfil all the demands of his daughters and it doesn’t matter whether they are compatible or emotionally connected with each other. Rehbar on the other hand, is spying on her for some  unknown reason. I personally think other than her activities outside the house there is definitely some other reason for him to spy on her which we ain’t aware of as of now.
Araiz and Ishal’s chemistry shined through in the scene where after her father scolds her for lying to him and thereafter Araiz rings her and they go out for kahwa was amazing because of the dialogues, Araiz’s couldn’t hold himself back from subtly expressing his feelings for her. Ishal may come from filthy rich family but she is quite grounded, has no airs about it. She values emotions and feelings. I do think Araiz and Ishal are perfect for each other. Ishal and Shahbir are poles apart and is it me or Shahbir seems quite old for Ishal?
Ahsan Khan was pretty impressive in the episode, like I have mentioned in my previous review I like his witty nature and sense of humour. Mehwish Hayat was okay in the episode, she was neither too good nor too bad but from what I have heard of her acting talent, I do think she can do a better job as Ishal. A special mention for the actor who plays Araiz’s younger brother, I think he is a darn good actor, I love his character. The direction was pretty okay, though Anjum can do a better job.

Kabhi Kabhi Episode 1

Kabhi Kabhi’s an offering from Six Sigma Plus, it has been directed by Anjum Shahzad and written by the very talented Samira Fazal. The story revolves around Ariz and Ishal and their respective families. Ariz hails from a lower middle class background and is the sole breadwinner of his family whereas Ishal comes from an upper class family who is currently studying abroad and is trying ways to escape from her superficial life as her father is a filthy rich businessman. In the first episode, we got a sneak peek into Ariz and Ishal’s lives. Ariz is a matured individual with a good sense of humour whereas on the other hand Ishal is carefree and a bindaas girl. Ariz and Ishal’s paths first cross through an accident where both the parties have to attend the same party. Coincidentally, mulaakaton ka silsila doesn’t end here.

Kabhi Kabhi  is a Pakistani Drama watch Episode 01  Online at Bathak.com

Ishal’s cigar smoking filthy rich businessman father played by Javed Sheikh wants her to marry this rich guy called Shahraiz (whose party Ariz and her had attended) but she is not too keen. Her dominating brother-in-law Rehbar, played by the Indian actor Aly Khan (it was nice to see him on a tv serial after a long time) and sister Iva are trying their best to coax her into marriage with Shahraiz. Coincidentally, Ishal and Ariz’s mulaakaton ka silsila doesn’t end at the party, since Ariz is one of Shahbar’s employee, Ishal bumps into him at his office later when she agrees to redecorate his office, Ariz is given the charge of showing her around and helping her with the shopping. The scene where both of them go to a restaurant to eat and Ariz unknowingly orders a dish that he is not aware of was pretty hilarious and nicely done.
Ishal’s brother-in-law Rehbar’s character is pretty interesting, I do not know yet if he holds any grudge against his sister-in-law Ishal, but I was surprised to see him bribing his driver and asking him to keep an eye on her movements and inform him from time to time. His wife Iva is more like his ghulam. Maybe he wants his father-in-law to transfer the entire property in his name (including Ishal’s share) and hence he cannot stand Ishal because as long as she is in his way, this may not happen at all.
Ahsan Khan was pretty good as Ariz but I am definitely expecting more from him and this is my first serial of Mehwish Hayat so I am not familiar with her previous body of work. Anyhow, I think she is the perfect candidate to play Ishal. It was nice to see Bushra Ansari (she is playing Ariz’s mother) in a tv serial, even though she didn’t have too much screen time, but I liked whatever little I saw of her. The first episode was neither too good nor too bad and since the writer of the serial is the very famous Samira Fazal, therefore viewers’ expectations are too much. By the time the episode came to an end we all knew that Ariz and Ishal will get married and it will be interesting to see how their married life goes and how both the families take it.

Kaash Aisa Ho Last Episode

I had huge expectations from the serial “Kash Aisa ho” starting from the day when the promos went air on the channel but it fails to live up its expectation.
The finale episode was huge disappointment for me. The serial could have been better if not dragged too much. I would also like to mention that now a day’s audiences are very smart and intelligent who want to see twists in every episode which let them not to switch channels while watching serial.
The script written by Maha Malik was good with some strong dialogues but the major punches were missing. I have only one question from the writer that what was the new with Irfa forgiving Shayan just for the sake of her daughter? We have seen such kind of sacrifices and compromises in lot of serials earlier.

Director has done a great job by handling such a weak script in appropriate way but editing could have been much better. There was time that when dramas consists of 13 episodes but now a days I am unable to understand that why directors, writers, producers are trying to drag drama to 22,23,24,25 episodes even it is not necessary at all.
Mohib Mirza has done excellent job as Shayan. Some may have hated him for what he has done with Irfa but he exuded excellence whenever he appeared on the screen.
Saba Qamar was amazing as well but I must say that she need to show some versatility by choosing some different characters as she has done same bechari, majboor kind of character in so many earlier serials.
Sana Askari badly needs to be careful while choosing her characters as she is always coming on screen with psyche, self-centered kind of characters.
Shahood Alvi acted very well and justifies the character of Dr. Bilal.
The title track was very impressive and Humreh channah did splendid job by singing it in the way exactly it was required.
Overall a failure from A & B production hou

Kaash Aisa Ho | Episode 20

Sorry guys for being late but I were out to Saudia Arabia for performing Umrah and just came back.  This episode took a leap of 10 years. All the characters have been changed yet believable.
Shayan came back to Milli after receiving call from her dad that she tried to commit suicide.  They are living together since last 10 years but Maliha attitude towards Shayan is still the same. She is still possessive, over protective towards Shayan.

Kaash Aisa Ho  is a Pakistani Drama watch   Episode 20   Online at Bathak.com

Even after passing 10 years Allah didn’t bless Milli and Shayan with the blessing of childrens maybe because Shayan didn’t pay any attention to her daughter which he had from Irfa.
Irfa manages to survive even without the presence of Shayan in her life but it would have not been possible without the support of Dr. Bilal. He is taking care of Rahima like his own daughter. Irfa was about Rahima operation for Rahima but it went successful.
On the other hand Milli condition got worse as she was suffering from lung cancer. When she felt that she will not survive for so long so she decided to confess to Shayan about the lie which she spoke about Irfa that she took money and signed on divorce paper.  She told the truth that Irfa signed the paper but never received any cheque from her.  Infact she thrown cheque on her face .
Milli confession leaves Shayan helpless. I am really wondering how easy it was for Shayan to belive Milli despite of Irfa love and care for him.
Shayan went to abroad for Milli better treatment but came back without Milli as she lost her life. Adeel Faroouqi advise Shayan to go back to Irfa.
I am anxiously waiting for the next episode to see what Irfa decision would be?
If Shayan goes back to Irfa.
Will Irfa forgive her?

Kaash Aisa Ho | Episode 19

Today’s episode was very impressive as far as dialogues and  scenes are concerned.
“AAS JUB TUK TOTE GI NAHIN AAP JEE NAHIN SAKTE”
Manahil said this to Dr. Bilal and to some extent she is right because Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words And never stops at all. So she demanded divorce and ask Dr. Bilal to not call her again just send the divorce papers. I think she has lost trust on Dr. Bilal and anybody who is on her place will do or feel the same. As it is said once trust has lost can never come again.

Kaash Aisa Ho  is a Pakistani Drama watch   Episode 19   Online at Bathak.com

Milli and Zoya encounter soon after Milli listens to the conversation between Zoya and shayan was truly wonderful. Zoya shows the tremendous confidence by saying to Milli;
“JAO OR SHAYAN KO KAHO KE IRFA KO TUMHARI KHATIR CHOR DE OR US KA JAWAB SUN LENA”
Milli took it as a challenge and forced Shayan to give divorce to Irfa. Shayan just ignore her and told her she gone insane. The Scene was truly wonderful especially the dialogue said by Shayan to Milli;
“JIS DIN TUM IRFA KO KHARID LO GI ; US DIN MAIN TUMHARI BEDAAM GHULAMI KABOOL KUR LON GA”
Irfa on the other hand tries to calm down Dr. Bilal but Dr. Bilal is very upset especially after the telephonic conversation with Mannu. He is feeling so down and told Irfa;
“IK LAMHAY MAIN GARI CONTROL SE NIKAL KE KAHAN SE KAHAN CHALI GAE”
I was thinking the same that how strange life is that Dr. Bilal and Minahal who have been living together from so many years has lost their trust among each other because of insecurity felt by Dr. Bilal that if he will tell truth to Manahil that He can never be father,He will lost her. It’s strange yet true that it takes one moment to destroy hopes, relationships, feelings, emotions. I think one naked truth is better than hidden lie which makes your life hell within seconds.
Shayan keep on arguing with Irfa about Dr. Bilal. Even Shayan threat Irfa that if she will not stop meeting Dr. Bilal, he will leave her. Irfa says brilliantly;
“ MAIN IRFA HON SHAYAN ANARKALI NAHIN MOHABBAT JISKA JURM HO OR USKI SAZA KE TOR PAI USE DEEWAR MAIN CHUNWA DIA JAE”
Amazing dialogue and I will give full credit to the Maha Malik for writing such an amazing screenplay.
Another wonderful dialogue spoken by Irfa to Shayan was;
“KHONE KA DARR US CHEEZ KA HOTA HAI JO APNI HO”.
SHAYAN finally leaves Irfa and Milli. Irfa didn’t pay any attention when Shayan told her that he will never come back to see Irfa but Milli told Shayan to not leave her but angry Shayan didn’t listen anything and leaves her as well.
Later on Milli’s father called Shayan and told that Milli has taken so many sleeping pills which lead her to critical condition. Shayan just ignore his Dad call by saying there is nothing new in it.
Saba Qamar is the lifeline of the drama. Drama would never have been seen without the presence of Saba Qamar. She is truly wonderful actress and I became her huge fan after watching her in Kash Aisa Ho.
Mohib Mirza is another character to watchout for. He was simply outstanding in today’s episode. Zainab Qayyum adds great support with brilliant acting. Sana Askari was also much better than the previous episodes.
As a whole I really enjoyed the episode.
I am really anxious to see that what will happen next.
So Wait and Wait!!!

Kaash Aisa Ho | Episode 18

If you cheat on someone who is willing to do anything for you, you actually cheated yourself out of true loyalty.
So did Shayan cheated himself?
I think the answer is yes!!!

Kaash Aisa Ho  is a Pakistani Drama watch   Episode 18   Online at Bathak.com

He did  because knowing the fact that Irfa just loved her and Milli was very arrogant. Still he marries Milli and now Milli is giving him a hard time. I believe that in every marriage, a husband or wife does something that hurts the other. It’s bound to happen because none of us is perfect. And in some cases, a spouse has a habit of doing the same thing over and over again, even after the behavior is confronted. Same is the case with Milli, who is committing mistakes again and again by irritating Shayan through her dominating nature, although her dad is trying to convince her to keep calm and handle the situation with maturity but Milli is not ready to take any kind of advice especially after smelling the heat of Closeness between Shayan and Zoya by every passing day. She cannot bear it as she is so arrogant and self-centered girl who doesn’t wants to share her things with anyone specially Shayan before Irfa and now Zoya.
I found Zoya unpredictable as on one side she told Milli to get rid of Irfa from Shayan’s life as soon as possible and on the other hand she told Shayan that girls like Milli will come and go but a girl like Irfa comes once in a lifetime so never leaves her.
So for me the situation is very confusing as Maybe Zoya wants to do the same what Milli did with her by snatching her fiancé. May be she wants to take revenge and that is why she is trying to be diplomatic. Milli also listens Zoya’s conversation with Shayan when she was trying to tell Shayan that his and Milli wedding will not be long lasting.
Irfa tries to convince Mannu (Dr. Bilal wife) to come back as Dr.Bilal is very upset and not taking care of himself at all but Mannu refuses to listen anything from Irfa and told her that if her heart will says to come back, she will.
Dr. Bilal also called her wife to tell her how much he misses her and she gives him shock by demanding divorce.
Shayan once again seen Dr. Bilal coming out of his house and warns Irfa to not let him comes in his house. Shayan further adds that being a man he has all the right to do whatever he wants to do but Irfa being a woman has no right to do anything. She is bound to love and stick with him.
To be honest, this episode turns out to be huge disappointment for me. There was nothing new in the episodes except powerful performances by Saba Qamar and Mohib Mirza. Story and direction could have been better.

Kaash Aisa Ho Episode 17

I believe that a strong, healthy relationship can be one of the best supports in your life. Good relationships improve all aspects of your life, strengthening your health, your mind, and your connections with others. However, if the relationship isn’t working, it can also be a tremendous drain.
Shayan is passing through same kind of situation as his relationship with both Irfa and Milli is not working at all. He is ignoring Irfa and she is bearing it because of her daughter but Milli on the other hand is not letting him allow to ignore her. I am really amazed to see Shayan reaction when he has seen dunk Dr. Bilal at his home with Irfa. He thrown away Dr. Bilal from his house and warn Irfa that “Main aaon na aaon, mohabbat karon na karon but tumhain koi huq nahin hai kisi bi tarah ka”. In other words he meant to say that a man has all rights to betray a woman but a woman doesn’t have any kind of right. I understand that for a normal husband it is unbearable to see his wife with some stranger at his place but a person like Shayan who has already betrayed his wife shows such kind of reaction is ridiculous.

Kaash Aisa Ho  is a Pakistani Drama watch   Episode 17   Online at Bathak.com

Some Relations Have No Names. But they live forever. I guess Irfa and Dr. Bilal are sharing same kind of relation. Dr. Bilal presence in Irfa life is only hope for her that’s why she always remembers him in all her hardships even he mention “Kya karon Dr. Bilal Allah ke bad aapka hi khayal ata hai”
There was new character introduced in todays’ episode named Zoya. She met with Shayan co-incidentally and came to know that Shayan is Milli’s husband and she also told to Shayan that Adeel Farooqi is her uncle.
Later on Zoya went to visit shayan at art gallery  followed by café where they saw Dr. Bilal and Irfa .Shayan told zoya that Irfa is her wife and he has one daughter from Irfa too. Zoya was shocked to hear that and told Shayan that how come Milli has bear all this as she cannot share anything with anyone which she owns.
Adeel farooqi on the other hand tired his level best to keep Milli calm, explains her to keep the situation in control but fails as Milli is so arrogant and self-centered girl and don’t want to understand anything explained by her father.
The story is not moving at all and I am wondering how long director will drag the story. Drama has already lost his charm as so many viewers have given me feedback which is not up to mark.
To be honest I am just following this drama because of Saba Qamar. I am huge fan of her and she has done full justice to her role even in such a weak script. Mohib Mirza was wonderful in today’s episode. Rest cast was okay in their perspective roles.
I really don’t have any idea how many episodes has been left but Drama could have been better if director try not to drag it.
Let see what drama has to offer in the upcoming episode.

Kaash Aisa Ho Episode 16

Disappointment is the feeling of dissatisfaction that follows the failure of expectations or hopes to manifest. Similar to regret, it differs in that a person feeling regret focuses primarily on the personal choices that contributed to a poor outcome, while a person feeling disappointment focuses on the outcome itself.

Kaash Aisa Ho  is a Pakistani Drama watch   Episode 16   Online at Bathak.com

Ep: 16 manages to grab my attention as there were some great scenes, dialogues. Dr. Bilal went to mannu’s place to convince her but fails as she is right because Trust is like a mirror. Once it’s BROKEN you can never look at it the same again”.
When Dr. Bilal said to Manuu  “Zuban Jhoot bolti hai likin ankahin nahin jhoot bol saktin dekho in ankhon main kia yeh tumhain jhoot bolta nazar ati hain”
And in reply Mannu said “dekh rahi hon bohut gor se dekh rahin hon likin in ankhon ko dekh kur mera dil tezi se dharakne lagta tha ab usi taizi se doobne lagta hai”.
Another great dialogue was when Dr. Bilal said” Suna tha Mohabbat bohut faragdil hoti hai…” Hur jurm hur saza maaf kur deti hai “in reply Manuu said “Mohabbat kaun si Mohabbat jisne khud ko surkhuru rehne diya or mujhay salon saal murjim rehne dia” What an amazing description for what Dr.Bilal has done with her.
On the other hand Milli went to Irfa home and want her to take divorce from Shayan.  Milli asked Irfa “Shayan ko chorne ki kya Keemut logi and Irfa wonderfully replied” Tumne Dookan sajae hai Sauda kia hai or Irfa ne Mohabbat ki hai or Mohabbat main boliyaan nahin lagae jatin” and another dialogue by her was “ Shayan ko khush kurna bohut asan hai likin use khush rakhna bohut mushkil hai jaoo or use khush rakhne ki koshish karo”
Wonderful scene, Irfa is right but poor Milli doesn’t know that Money can never buy Love because love cannot be touched but it can be felt by the heart. Love is a priceless gift that no amount of gold can equal. Money and Love are two different things. We can be rich in sum but never richer in heart. If money is a measure of wealth then many could be poor, but if Love is to be quantified as wealth, the whole world can even be richer.
Mannu’s brother tries to convince her because Dr. Bilal insisted him but all in vain.
Furthermore, Shayan and Milli relationship is getting worse as Milli always try to irritate him which lead him to stress but I am wondering why he is  bearing this behavior of Milli and till how long he will lead such life. Shayan is basically very selfish and confusing person who actually doesn’t know what he want from life.
I really don’t have any idea what serial has to offer in the coming episodes but I really enjoyed today episode. Saba Qamar was brilliant as usual and has played her character with sincerity and honesty. Mohib Mirza is doing well too but not getting so much space to deliver his best.  Shahood Alvi was impressive in today’s episode . Sana Askari is not impressing me at all.
Overall it was great episode with some great moments.

Kaash Aisa Ho Episode 15

kash
I’ll start off today’s Episode review of Kash Aisa Ho by quoting some statistics for context. I read a story earlier this year that estimated between 15 percent of women and 20 percent of men are unfaithful. Women are less likely to get caught. Ninety-five percent of women and 83 percent of men reported they “successfully” cheated without their spouses ever finding out. These are married people so who knows how desolate the landscape of relationships and pseudo-relationships looks. I only point this out to note that there are a number of unfaithful people among us and many of them will never get caught (or so they believe).

Kaash Aisa Ho  is a Pakistani Drama watch   Episode 15   Online at Bathak.com

Still I have one major question in my mind that “Why does a cheater even want to be in a relationship if he’s decided that he’s not going to be faithful?”
Today’s episode has arises the same question which I mention earlier like;
1-     Shayan was married to Irfa , despite of having a kid why he did second marriage with Milli?
2-     Why Dr. Bilal has lied to his wife that she cannot be mother ever but the fact is that Dr.Bilal himself is not able to become a father.
3-     Why Nasir’s Wife Mahjabeen is unhappy with Nasir with whom Irfa was previously engaged later on got married with Mahjabeen who was previously engaged to Shayan (Quite strange situations but sorry guys it was like that). Although he is trying to make best to pleased Mahjabeen but she still thinks of Sh
ayan and compare Nasir with Shayan and even they have two kids as mentioned by Nasir when he met Irfa.
The situations are quiet complex with all the characters in the play. Some people believe that if you truly love a person you would never cheat on them. I disagree, because that belief dictates that emotion is what drives people to cheat or remain faithful. In reality, there is far more logic involved in not cheating than emotion. I think we can all agree that Love is an emotion. Given the large number of people that cheat on their loved ones each and every day of the week, it is obviously not enough to stop people from cheating. That’s where logic comes into serial name as kash Aisa Ho.
Thanks God story moves to some extent as Dr. Bilal wife came to know that she can be mother but he can never be father as I mention earlier and he lied to her. This makes situation complex and made Dr. Bilal quiet upset and even he misbehaves with Irfa by saying that he is not the only doctor on this earth when Irfa asked for help to look what happen to her daughter?
On the other hand Milli is doing her best to snatch Shayan from Irfa by declaring openly in the public that Shayan will soon get separation from Irfa which made Irfa very upset yet helpless.
Saba Qamar is truly wonderful actress. The way she has grown from strength to strength by passing each serial is truly commendable. I would specially like to mention one scene when shayan came to give her money for month expense and her finger got hurt with knife while cutting vegetables. Her expression were simply mind blowing.
Mohib Mirza has not so many scenes in today’s episode but he was good equally. To be honest Sana askari is not impressing me at all as she has nothing new to offer. These kinds of character has been done earlier by herself and I strongly advised her to try some new characters in up coming dramas.
Let see what next episode has to offer as I am eagerly waiting to see what else can be happen.
Wait and Watch!!!!!

Kaash Aisa Ho Episode 14

Sometimes -most of the time – life can seem a bit disappointing. Even the greatest lives are full of profound loss and heartbreak. It seems that pain is inevitable, and while we may say that we know good can come out of it, what hurts still hurts. In the process, one can quite easily lose hope: in life, in God, and even in oneself. Despair is often cyclical, spiraling one into depression and helplessness, leading to even greater despair. The result is that one sad thing leads to another and so on, until we feel that we can’t possibly break free. It can all be a bit too much for our souls to handle. As humans, we need hope. We can’t live without it. It is the lifeblood to our spiritual survival, and the only thing that pulls us out of the deep trenches of the pain and hurt if life.

In today’s episode of Kashaisa ho, I felt same for Irfa. Despite of all the disappointments, pain, ignorance she got fromShayanby passing everyday still she is hoping that Shayanattitude towards her might not be positive ever but Aymashould get her father love, care and most important time of her father. Maybe she is bearing all this because she is mother of a girl now and a mother always think about her child and their future.
Furthermore, Milli’s papa tries to explain her not to create small issues and the way he explain the things was commendable but Milli’s arrogant and selfish attitude unable her to understand anything. She doesn’t want to share Shayan with anyone not even with his first wife.
Shayan on the other hand is trying to pleaseIrfa in the best way he can but he is not aware of the storm which will comes in his life sooner or later whenIrfa will come to know about his second marriage with Milli.
Milli reaches to shayan home to take him with her but somehow shayan manage to handle the situation but my question is till how long?
Minahal comes to invite Irfa for her hasbandDr.Bilal birthday and later on Dr. Bilal’s birthday scene was well shot and Dr.Bilal is right “InsanJubtukkhudkoehmiyutnahindeta koi uskoehmiyutnahindeta”
Shayan caught in between Irfa and Milli and the worse thing is which I was discussing in the beginning what shayan will do when Irfa will come to know about his wedding with milli and same happens when Milli comes to Irfa and told her that she is married to shayan now.
I felt so bad for Irfa as she has given to Shayan but she fails and later on when tries to talks to Shayan it turn even more miserable. She decided to leave home with her daughter but shayan didn’t allow her to do that.
Today episode was better than the previous episode but I have one question with writers of  most of the dramas on air these days that why they try to drag the storyline of the dramas it could have happen earlier what happened in today’s episode. Knowing the fact that all the blockbuster dramas which we have in the history is of 13 episodes only. There is no doubt that our dramas has grown from strength to strength but producers and director must give some attention to the editing of the dramas.
Saba qamar performance was excellent as usual and to be honest I am just watching this drama because of her and Mohibmirza who has done great job once again. Sana Askari really irritates me as she has done such kind of roles in the past. I suggest her to try something new in the upcoming dramas.
Overall today episode was much better than the previous episodes as at least story moved on to some extent. Let’s see what next episode of KashAisa Ho has to offer.

Kaash Aisa Ho Episode 12

Shayan  to Irfa “Bohatt nazuk haiyeh rishta Reshmi gira ki tarah”
Jo sirf tumhari muthi main hai
Irfa to shayan “Janti hon mujh se bohut galti hue hai, Maine badal ko pakarna chaha tha
Diye ki lou ko hath main pakarna chaha tha, Sehra main dekhae diye pani se apni pyas bhujani chahi thi,,
Likin main yeh to bhol hi gae thi ke badal kepechay bhagtay bhagtay insane apni rah bhi kho baithta hai, Diye ki lou sirf hath jalati hai or zarab shehra main bhatka ke maar deta hai”

The episode started off very well with heavy words said by Irfa as I mentioned above. She has realized that shayan is no more interested in her, in fact it would not be unfair to said that he was never interested in her specially after the entrance of the character “Mili” and later on Shayan’s marriage with Milli has changed the whole scenario But Irfa is the mother of one daughter and she has no other way except to show patience to bear shayan’s negligence towards her and her child as she is just hoping that things might change one day.

God… give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things, which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other. Irfa is trying to do the same by accepting hardship as a pathway to peace.
Maybe Irfa is right as when she called Shayan that I need to talk something very urgent can you come? He left Milli and come to see what Irfa has to say.
Later on Dr. Bilal conversation with Shayan was very well presented. They way Dr. Bilal explained the negligence of Shayan towards his responsibility towards Irfa and his daughter is the highlight of the drama.
Dr. Bilal to Shayan: “Artisit ko apna art zada pyara hota hai yeh apni Aulad”?
Shayan to Dr. Bilal: Dono
Dr.Bilal: Or agar kabhi in dono cheezon main eik ko choose kurna pare to
Shayan :Agay kahiye
Dr. Bilal: Main sirf itna kahna chahta hon ke Aulade ik anmo ltohfa hai Khuda ki taraf se or agar yeh bat pochni hai to un se pochiye jinhe kudrat ne kisi masliyut ke tahat is nehmat se nahin nawaza”

Dr. Bilal is very right because sometimes we don’t understand the worth of things until we loose them or when we don’t have it and who knows better than Dr. Bilal who cannot have blessing of children’s in his life. He further explains to Irfa and Shayan about Rayma, s illness “Thalassemia major” in which both parents have to take care of their kid.
Shayan tried to convince Milli about why Irfa called her but Milli is self-centered girl who only wants her happiness and don’t care about anything else.
Irfa is just helpless and is losing the hope but Dr. Bilal tries to explain her to be strong so that she can look after her kid’s illness.
Shayan on the other hand is trying to please Milli and how selfish he doesnt care what Irfa is going through,,,
Women wants to know they are loved and cared &Irfa is hoping the same from Shayan but the poor shayan is stuck in between Irfa and Mili and the way Milli asked Shayan to be with her within half an hour when Shayan was in hospital with Irfa for blood transplantation of their daughter was alarming as Mili threast shayan that will he come or she will come to take shayan.

“Mujhay yeh bat samjh nahin ati ke hur  waqt un ko aap ke tawun hi ki kyon zarorat hoti hai”

Words said to Dr. Bilal by none then but his wife Minahil. Dr. Bilal explained her but in vain as she is feeling insecurity the way Dr. Bilal is helping Irfa and her daughter in his illness matter.
Milli keeps on insisting shayan to be with her all the times and Shayan tries to explain her but all in vain. I think he deserves this because what he did is totally unjustified. I have really failed to understand how a man can have a 2nd wife despite the presence of his first wife, maybe he thinks women are not as strong as to protest against his unfaithfulness. Beause it is said “Diamonds never leave you… men do!”
Saba Qamar was fabulous in the episode portraying the character of helpless woman with maturity. I will give full marks to her. Mohib Mirza is also doing great job and the chemistry between Saba Qamar and Mohib Mirza is wonderful. Sana Askari fails to impress me in typical character which she has played many times before. Shahood alvi is brilliant in the character of Dr. Bilal and he is playing it with utmost sincerity and honesty.
On the whole today’s episode was very slow and drama is not offering anything new at the moment. Let’s hope for the best in the coming episode as I have huge expectations from this drama since the day it started off.

Goya – Episode 1

‘Tum mere paas hote ho Goya,
Jab koi doosra nahi hota…”
Finally, after months of anticipation, BTS pics, and promos,  the first episode of the much awaited Goya went on air. I went into Goya with an extremely critical eye for a few reasons. First of all, there is a huge cast so not all roles can possibly have an effect, Second, honestly speaking, I’m not the biggest fan of Sana Javed (my reviews of Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar are proof of that), and third, there was this huge initial story of how another actress was supposed to play Mohini, but things happened and Sana Javed took over (back to my trepidation of Sana Javed)…so I figured it was going to have its’ share of problems which most probably will be evident when it goes on air. having just finished the first episode though, I realized how wrong I was about everything. Written by Syed Mohammad Ahmed and directed by Farrukh Faiz, and produced by Six Sigma, episode 1 of Goya, in my eyes, was a hit! It was a treat to watch, and not just because of how nice Osman Khalid Butt (OKB for future references) looked!

Goya  is a Pakistani Drama watch   Episode 01   Online at Bathak.com

Episode 1 starts out with the mother daughter banter of Asma (Farah Shah) and Mohini (Sana Javed).  Mohini (a news reporter) seems to be looking for rishtas for herself online. Mohini rightly states that her mother is shuru se hi filmi. Asma owns a hotel and is trying to convince Mohini to cover the art exhibition later on at her hotel. Their banter and closeness is very ‘Gilmore Girls,’ to the point that Mohini often refers to her mother as Asma and tum (I did find that strange though).
We move to Omar Hashmi (OKB) being awoken by his best friend Ali (Furqan Qureshi). Omar is apparently the most eligible bachelor in town.  His mother has passed away and Hitler  father, referred to as The Undertaker, Rahat Hashmi, and Sr. Hashmi (Usman Peerzada) married the young Tara Mehmood. He has been raised by his nanny of 17 years, Mrs. Imtiaz (the ever graceful Shamim Hilali) who is in charge of what he wears to what he eats, along with his comings and goings. The Undertaker has just learned that his friend’s son has been kidnapped and ranson is 28 carores, so orders another set of 6 guards. I’m wondering whether its the son being kidnapped or the loss of 28 carores that is more scary to him? In Sr. hashmi’s defense though, if he isn’t so tough on his only son, he would be among the other rich brats partying all night and drinking. Fair point…underneath that strict, pompous, Hitler-like exterior, is a father who doesn’t want his son to get spoiled and mess up. Sr. Hashmi has rules and regulations, he has a title where even his son refers to him as ‘Sir.’ His word is rock solid and there is nothing to be said after he speaks his mind. He now has chosen Saleem saheb ki beti Zara (Hira Tareen) to be his son’s wife. Knowing that his son’s dream is to go get his MBA in this prestigious New York University, he shoots the idea down. (BTW, seriously? Why do all study abroads have to be 1) in USA and 2) in NY? There are other countries in the world with better Universities)!! Sr. Hashmi hasn’t given his son the right to say ‘no’ to him, as per his more toned down wife. I like Tara Mehmood. She has a very calm and collected demeanor about her. It will be interesting to see how her equation (or lack there of) with Jr. Hashmi will be played out. I’m just thankful that this step mum is not the evil vamp like in all other dramas.
Ok, so time for Mohini and Omar to meet. They both show up at the exhibition at Mohini’s mom’s hotel. Mohini is covering the story by her channel ARY News (surprise surprise…nice plug-in ARY)!! They have the same infamous banter of rich guy and working girl…seemingly full of judgments on both sides. A simple and accidental credit card drop by Omar is a show off gesture to Mohini.
During the end we learn that Omar actually has plans to run off to the US to pursue his MBA even after the shot down by his father. He is a US citizen (hain?) so can a get a job anywhere for expenses and can live at some Michelle’s apartment. We also learn that Sr. Hashmi is already aware of these plans which is why he asked Mrs. Imtiaz for Jr. Hashmi’s passport. I so feel for bechari Mrs. Imtiaz; stuck between the Sr and Jr Hashmis, trying to make them both happy. Omar clearly sees her as a confidant and perhaps even a mother figure. I  really love their equation.
And ends episode 1. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. The script had Mohammed Ahmed written all over it with lines like ‘Mari hui machli jaisa moon,’ Ayat-Al-Kursi parh ke jayega’ (referring to asking his father about going for his MBA), ‘shuru se he filmi theen aap’ and many more. Even the ‘rock, papers, scissors’ between Omar and Ali to decide if Omar will go to  this cafe opening was very natural and didn’t seem like it was forced on the audience. Void of over the top depressing or heavy dialogues, the lines were simple and easy on the ears. Syed Mohammad Ahmed is not the only one responsible for the script. Yasir Rana (that’s right, Coke Kahani fame) was also a crucial part of some of the episodes. Clearly the two make a great team!  Farrukh Faiz’s direction is top notch as always…frames and shots perfect along with the characters looks and expressions, and the smooth scene to scene flow. What surprised me however, was that even though this is the first episode, there were no editing errors. I haven’t seen that since Humsafar!
Lets talk cast! Remember how  I said, I wasn’t at all a fan of Sana Javed in the beginning? She proved me wrong! This girl plays Mohini to the max! Her dialogue delivery, expressions, I can’t imagine another actress playing this role. I also can’t imagine anyone else in the role of Jr. Hashmi. When he speaks, I feel like Syed Mohammed is coming out of him some how. It’s like the lines were written especially for him. Even his expressions are on par. OKB is not all about great looks, this guy has talent and is here to stay! Furqan Qureshi is in his element as always as Ali and there isn’t anything I can say about the great Usman Peerzada that hasn’t been written before, so I will not even try. The entire cast (even the extremely annoying Ayeza) has done great justice to their roles. The intros of Asad Siddiqi as Mohini’s colleague and friend and of Zara (Hira Tareen) even made an impact.  I really really hope that Goya stays this way through out because it has immense potential to be a hit so please ARY, please don’t ruin it! Well done Team Goya!
